As I rise from sleep I thank You, O Holy Trinity, for through Your great goodness and patience You were not angered with me, an idler and sinner, nor have You destroyed me in my sins, but have shown Your usual love for men, and when I was prostrate in despair, You raised me to keep the morning watch and to glorify Your power.
오 거룩하신 삼위일체 하나님, 제가 잠에서 깨어날 때, 주님께 베푸신 크신 선하심과 오래 참으심을 볼 때, 주님께서 게으르고 죄인인 저에게 진노하지 않으시고, 저의 죄 때문에 저를 멸망시키지 않으시고, 인간에 대한 주님의 귀한 사랑을 보여 주셔서 감사합니다. 제가 절망에 빠졌을 때, 주님께서 저를 일으켜 새벽을 깨우시고 주님의 능력을 영화롭게 하셨습니다.

And now enlighten my mind’s eye and open my mouth to study Your words and understand Your commandments and do Your will and sing to You in heartfelt adoration and praise Your Most Holy Name of Father, Son and Holy Spirit, now and ever, and to the ages of ages. Amen.
이제 저의 마음의 눈을 밝히시고 저의 입을 열어 주님의 말씀을 배우며 주님의 계명을 깨닫고 주님의 뜻을 행하며 마음을 다하여 경배드리며 아버지와 아들과 성령의 지극히 거룩하신 이름을 이제와 영원히 영광을 돌립니다. 아멘.
