일찍이 이스라엘 백성들이 노예의 땅 애굽에서 젖과 꿀이 흐르는 가나안 땅으로 가는 길에는 여러 가지 어려움, 갈등, 딜레마가 있었습니다.

Early on, the Israelites, on the way from the land of slavery Egypt to the land of Canaan from where milk and honey flow, had many difficulties, conflicts, and dilemma.

가나안이 약속의 땅이고 자유의 나라이지만 갈등과 딜레마가 많았습니다.

The Canaan was a promised land and a land of freedom, there were lots of conflicts and dilemmas.

일찍이 키에르케고르는 “인생은 누구나 이것이냐? 저것이냐? 애굽이냐? 출애굽이냐? 하는 삶의 갈등 속에서방황한다고 했습니다. 왜? 그렇습니까? 미래를 몰라서 그렇습니다.

Early on Kierkegaard asked, “People wandered amongst conflicts of life: Is this it? Is that it? Is it Egypt? Exodus? Why is that? Because people don’t know the future.

그러므로 신앙생활은 이것이냐 저것이냐 갈등할 것이 아니라, 무조건 주님이 함께하심을 믿고 꿈을 가지고 기대하면서 앞으로 나아가야 합니다.

Hence, life of faith is not about a conflict between is this it? Is that it, but we must move forward with faith that the Lord is with us, have dreams and expectations.

우주선 첼리저호가 공중에서 폭발했습니다.

Spaceship Challenger has exploded in the air.

오랫동안 연구해서 발사된 우주선이 75초만에 공중에서 폭발했습니다.

It was a long searched and launched spaceship which exploded in the air within 75 seconds.

7명의 우주인은 시체도 찾을 수 없었습니다. 그것이 인간의 한계 과학의 한계입니다.

The bodies of 7 astronauts were nowhere to be found. That is the limit of humans and science.

인간이 아무리 똑똑하고 과학이 발달해도 75초 후를 알지 못합니다.

No matter how smart human beings are and how advanced the science is, no one knows what would happen in 75 seconds.

그런데 놀라운 사실은 그처럼 위대하게 생각했던 우주인 선생님들을 잃어버린 제자들이 또 하나의 우주선을 만들라고 성금을 보내왔다는 것입니다.

But, amazingly, the apprentices who lost and thought greatly about the teachers who were in it, have sent money to build another spaceship.

우주선에 대한 꿈이 있기 때문입니다.

Because they have a dream regarding spaceships.

그렇습니다. 예수 그리스도를 믿는 우리들은 하나님의 나라에 대한 꿈과 기대가 있어야 합니다.

That is right. As believers of Jesus Christ, we should have dreams and expectations regarding the Kingdom of God.
