- 기대하며 살아야 합니다. Live with expectations
“너희는 더욱 큰 은사를 사모하라 내가 제일 좋은 길을 너희에게 보이리라.”
“ Now eagerly desire the greater gifts. And yet I will show you the most excellent way.”
그러므로 우리는 꿈을 가지고 각양 은사를 기대하며 살아야 합니다. 우리가 믿는 하나님은 창조주시고 전능하신 하나님이십니다.
Therefore, we should have a dream and live with expectation for various gifts. The one who we believe is God,
그러므로 하나님이 하신다고 하시면 하시는 것입니다. 하나님이 된다고 하시면 되는 것입니다.
the Creator and Almighty. So, if God is willing to do it, He will do it. If God says so, it will happen.
아브라함은 늙어서 아이를 낳을 수 없는 인간적으로 보면 포기할 수밖에 없는 환경 가운데서도 하나님의 약속을 믿었습니다.
Despite the situation where Abraham was too old to impregnate, he believed God’s promise.
꿈을 잃지 않았습니다. 언젠가는 아기를 낳을 것이라고 기대하며 살았을 때 백 세에 아들을 낳았습니다.
He did not lose his dream. He lived with expectation that one day he will have a son.
He did have a son when he was 100.
그렇습니다. 예수 믿는 우리들은 꿈을 가지고 소망이 넘치는 삶을 살아야 합니다.
That’s right. As believers of Christ, we should live with dreams and hope.
미국의 학자들이 미국 역사에 종교적으로, 학문적으로, 정치적으로, 경제적으로 여러 분야에서 이 사회에 기여한 사람들을 뽑아서 출신지 별로 분리를 했습니다.
American scholars have identified people who have contributed to the society in American history, religiously, academically, politically, and economically, and have separated them by country of origin.
그랬더니 놀랍게도 미 동북부에 위치하고 있는 작은 뉴 잉글랜도 지방 출신이 가장 많더라는 것입니다.
Surprisingly, the smallest New England region in the northeastern United States had the most contributing people.
학자들이 이상하게 생각했습니다. 왜 그럴까? 저 작은 지방에서 어떻게 역사의 인물이 많이 나왔을까?
The scholars were perplexed. Why? How did a lot of historical figures emerge from that small province?
연구를 해 보았더니, 그곳의 부모님들은 아이들을 키울 때, 늘 하는 말이“Boy, be ambitious, Girl, Be Ambitious.”
After the research, the parents in that province, tell kids all the time “Boys be ambitious. Girls, be ambitious.”
원대한 비전을 가지라. 꿈을 가지고 기대하며 살아라. 그것이 원동력이 되어서 미국의 역사를 움직이는 위대한 인물들이 많이 나왔다는 것입니다.
Have a great vision. Live with your dreams and expectations. That’s the driving force behind it and has produced a number of great people who are moving the history of America.
그렇습니다. 위대한 꿈이 있어 기대하는 사람, 위대한 역사를 만드는 것입니다.
That is right. Those with great dream and expectations, made a great history.
기대해야 역사가 일어납니다. 예수 안에서 기대하는 소원은 반드시 이루어지는 것입니다.
Expectation makes a history. An expecting wish in Jesus will fulfill.
꿈이 있어 기대하는 사람은 피곤하지 않습니다.
A man with a dream and expectation does not grow weary.
불평하지 않습니다. 기대하는 마음으로 살아가기 때문에 기쁘고 즐겁습니다.
Such a man does not complain. Because they live with expectations, they are joyful and rejoicing.
