교회도 그렇습니다. 개인의 신앙도 마찬가지입니다.

So is the church. And so is individual faith as well.

우리가 바른 신앙 위에 굳게 서 있을 때 우리는 흔들리지 않습니다. 무너지지 않습니다.

We won’t be shaken up if we are standing firm on the true faith. We will not fall and collapse.

그러나 신앙의 뿌리가 튼튼하지 않을 때는 개인의 신앙도 교회도 흔들리게 되는 것입니다.

However, if the root of our faith is not strong and healthy, individual faith and the church itself shall be shaken altogether.

우리는 때때로 복잡한 환경가운데 살아가면서 여러 가지 유혹을 받을 때가 많습니다.

We are faced with many different temptations from time to time, as we are living in very complex and complicated situations.

그래서 우리는 알면서도 때로는 모르면서도 잘못된 일에 개입될 때가 많이 있습니다.

So, there are times we are knowingly and unknowingly involved in some unrighteous and undesirable circumstances.

그럴 때 우리는 주위의 여건이나 환경을 탓할 때가 있습니다.

Whenever that happens, we tend to blame on the situations or the circumstances.

그러나 문제는 환경이 아니라 그 사람의 마음이요 바른 신앙에 근거한 인격이 있는가 하는 것입니다.

However, the issue is not a matter of the circumstances, but of the heart, whether the person’s character is deeply rooted in the true Biblical faith, or not.

그래서 일찍이 솔로몬 왕은 말하기를 “무릇 지킬만한 것보다 더욱 네 마음을 지키라. 생명의 근원이 이에서 남이니라.”

That was the reason why King Solomon said, “Keep your heart with all vigilance, for from it flow the springs of life.”

다시 말해서 마음의 상태, 마음이 중요하다는 것입니다.

In other words, our hearts’ conditions are crucial and important.

행복을 담을 수 있고 축복을 담을 수 있는 마음이 되어 있느냐 하는 것입니다.

The question is to see whether our hearts have been able to receive and contain true happiness, God’s blessings within.

그렇습니다. 주어진 삶을 살다 보면 우리의 마음에는 숱한 문제들이 있습니다.

That’s right! There are so many different problems we face, as we try to live a precious, God-granted life.
