일찌기 예수님께서 “진실로 진실로 네게 이르노니 사람이 거듭나지 아니하면 하나님의 나라를 볼 수 없느니라 사람이 물과 성령으로 나지 아니하면 하나님의 나라에 들어갈 수 없느니라”

Early on, Jesus said, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God. Unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.”

그렇습니다. 예수 그리스도 안에서 거듭난 사람은 하늘나라를 볼수 있고 천국을 소유한 행복한 사람입니다.

That’s right. Those who have been born again in Jesus Christ have already seen and inherited the kingdom of heaven.

누구든지 회개하고 하나님 품 안으로 돌아오면 죄 용서함 받고 구원 받아 하나님의 자녀로 행복하게 해 주셨습니다.

Anyone who repents and returns to God will be saved. Their sins will be forgiven, and they will be adopted as children of God.

“ 주 예수를 믿으라 그리하면 너와 네 집이 구원을 받으리라.”

“Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household.”

하나님의 품 안은 치료하는 품입니다. 은혜의 품입니다. 사랑과 능력의 품이어서 아무리 강팍한 사람 일지라도 우리 주님의 품 안에 들어가면 다 새로운 사람으로 거듭나고 변화 받아 행복하게 살게 되는 것입니다.

We are restored in the arms of God. There is grace, love, and power in His arms. Those whom He embraces are renewed. Our hardened hearts become softened, and as a result, we experience happiness.

그런데 끝끝내 안되는 사람 행복 할 수 없는 불행한 사람도 있습니다. 가롯 유다는 행복하게 살 수 있는 자리에 있으면서도 행복을 누리지 못했습니다.

However, there are people who never experience happiness. Although Judas Iscariot was so close to happiness, he never understood what happiness was.

하나님께서 제자로 삼아 행복하게 살 기회를 주셨지만 그 기회를 놓쳐버리고 사탄의 유혹을 따라 주님을 배반하는 길로 빠졌습니다.

Although Judas had the chance to enjoy happiness, he gave up his chance. Instead, he fell into temptation and chose to betray Jesus.

가롯 유다는 육에 대해서는 잘 알았으나 영에 대해서는 둔하고 몰랐습니다.

Judas Iscariot was clever when it came to material possessions, but he was dull when it came to spiritual things.

세상 계산은 빨랐지만 주님에 대한 헌신은 없었습니다. 구제는 알았지만 믿음은 없었습니다.

He was a calculative person and lacked devotion to the Lord. Although he knew the importance of helping others, he lacked faith.

삼백 데나리온의 가치는 빨리 알았으나 수백만 달란트의 하나님의 은혜는 몰랐습니다. 구원을 비롯해서 하나님께서 베풀어 주신 수많은 은혜, 사랑, 축복들은 몰랐습니다.

He only saw the three hundred denarii, and failed to understand the grace of God. Judas did not understand God’s grace, love, or blessings. He did not understand the salvation of God.

그렇습니다. 행복을 누리도록 하나님이 수많은 은혜를 주셨는데, 그 행복을 깨닫지 못하는 사람이 있습니다. 깨달음이 없으면 영원히 불행합니다.

That’s right. God pours out His blessings continuously, but some people still fail to understand and see the meaning of true happiness. Those who fail to recognize the grace of God cannot experience happiness.

행복하면서도 그 행복을 느끼지 못합니다. 그런 사람은 불행합니다. 그래서 어떤 사람은 “그래도 옛날이 좋았지” 바보 같은 소리를 합니다.

They cannot enjoy true happiness. Such a person is unhappy all the time. Some people say, “Life was better in the old days.” How foolish is this?

그때 그 당시는 불행하다고 생각했는데 돌이켜 보니 오히려 행복했다는 얘기지요.

At the time, they felt unhappy, but looking back, they think they were happier then than now.

가난할 때는 돈, 돈 하다가 부자가 되고 나면 가난할 때, 그때가 좋았어,

When they were poor, they used to talk about money all the time. But now that they are well-off, they say, “Life was better when we were poor.”

총각 때는 결혼해 달라고 죽자 살자 쫒아다녔는데 결혼하고 나니 총각 때가 좋았어 그럽니다.

A single man pursued a woman with all his life. But after marriage, he says, “Life was better when I was single.”

나이 드신 분들 중에도 가끔 젊은 시절이 좋았어 그럽니다. 얼마나 답답한 사람입니까? 정말 그렇습니까?

Even among the elderly, some say that life was better when they were young. Is that so? Is that really true?

아닙니다. 그것은 불행입니다. 지금이 가장 좋은 때입니다. 지금이 가장 행복한 때입니다.

No, it is not. The present is the best time. The happiest moment in life is now.

“이스라엘이여 너는 행복한 사람이로다 여호와의 구원을 너 같이 얻은 백성이 누구냐 ”

“Happy are you, O Israel! Who is like you, a people saved by the LORD.”
