사람의 일생을 보았을 때 소년기, 청년기, 장년기, 노년기로 나눌 수 있는데 성경은 노년의 복을 최고로 봅니다. 다시 말해서, 인생 전체를 봤을 때 점점 성숙 되어가고 커지는 축복입니다.
A person’s life can be divided into segments: childhood, adolescence, early adulthood, and late adulthood. The Bible describes the blessings of late adulthood to be the best. In other words, blessings increase as we gradually mature.
물론 여기에는 Priority가 있는데 영적인 것입니다. 그리고 거기에 따라서 세상적인 것이 주어지는 것입니다. 나를 중심으로 해서 전체로 향하는 축복입니다. “그래서 너는 복의 근원이 될지라.”
There is a priority here, which is spiritual. Worldly blessings are given to us according to spiritual blessings. It begins from the individual and spreads out to those around that person. “So that you will be a blessing.”
그러므로 내 자신이 먼저 은혜롭고 행복한 사람이 되어야 합니다. 그리고 ‘빛으로 소금으로’ 영향을 끼치며 은혜롭고 행복하게 살라는 것입니다.
For this reason, we must first live in grace and enjoy happiness. Then, we need to be the “salt and the light” of this world.
그래서 내 주위가, 가정, 직장, 기업, 교회, 민족, 나라와 세계가 은혜롭고 행복해지도록 하라는 것입니다. 영원한 예수 생명이 우리에게 있기에 우리는 세상에 더 바랄 것도 더 부러울 것이 없는 것입니다.
We are to bring this happiness to our families, workplaces, businesses, churches, nations, and the world. For when we have eternal life in Christ Jesus, we lack nothing.
그러므로 은혜롭고 행복하게 살아야 합니다. 이전에 우리가 즐기던 세상의 모든 낙, 세상 즐거움, 세상 자랑 다 버리고 어두운 모든 일들을 떨쳐 버려야 합니다.
Therefore, we must live in grace and enjoy happiness. We must put off our old selves. We must put an end to our former way of life. We must forsake the things of this world.
아브라함, 이삭이, 야곱이, 요셉이 그리고 수많은 신앙의 영웅들이 그렇게 살았습니다.
This is how Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, and many heroes of faith lived.
생명의 세계, 하나님의 나라에서는 서로를 위해 봉사할 때 은혜롭고 행복합니다. 끊임없이 수고하고 이웃을 위해 사랑하고 봉사하고 섬기는 사람이 은혜롭고 잘 되고 행복합니다.
In the Kingdom of God, those who serve others live in grace and enjoy happiness. Those who love their neighbors and diligently serve them live in grace and enjoy happiness.
그런 사람에게 하나님이 은혜와 복을 베푸는 것이 하나님의 창조의 법칙입니다. 추호라도 이 사람 저 사람 원망하며 살지 마세요. 가정이나 직장이나 교회생활 불평하지 마세요. 악한 것은 모양이라도 버리세요.
According to God’s creation, we enjoy happiness when we become a blessing to others. God forbid that we hold grudges against one another. May we not complain about our family, work, or church. Let us disassociate with wickedness.
나는 은혜롭고 행복하다고 생각하는 사람에게 무슨 시험이 있습니까? 나는 은혜롭고 행복하다고 생각하는 사람에게 무슨 불평이 있고 원망이 있습니까?
What can possibly tempt a person who is living in grace and enjoying happiness? How could a person who is living in grace and enjoying happiness grumble?
은혜롭고 행복하게 사는 것 – 그것이 그리스도인의 멋입니다.
Living in grace and enjoying happiness – this is what makes Christians shine.
사랑하는 성도 여러분, ‘여호와는 나의 목자시니 내게 부족함이 없으리로다.’ 나는 가졌습니다. 나는 부족하지 않습니다.
Beloved saints, “The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.” We do not lack.
‘가난한 자 같으나 부유하고 아무 것도 없는 자 같으나 모든 것을 가진 자로다.’ 고백하며 은혜롭고 행복하게 살아가시기를 주님의 이름으로 축원합니다.
“Poor, yet making many rich; having nothing, and yet possessing everything.” Let this be our confession. I pray in the name of the Lord that you will live in grace and enjoy happiness.
