That’s right. If heaven really exists and we have been promised eternal life, things of this world do not matter that much. What if we suffer a bit?

다소 뭐가 잘못 되어도 그게 뭐가 그렇게 중요하겠습니까? 아파트면 어떻고 House면 어떻습니까? 방이 몇 개고 화장실이 몇 개면 그게 뭐 그리 중요해요?

What if something goes wrong? Does it matter that we live in an apartment or in a house? Does it matter how many rooms and bathrooms there are in our houses?

제가 언젠가 권사님 아들이 사는 Bel Air에 있는 집을 갔더니 방이 20개 화장실이 20개라고 하더라고요. 그게 다 필요할까요? 이런 옷 입으면 어떻고 저런 옷 입으면 어떻습니까?

Once, a kwonsanim visited her son’s house in Bel Air. It had 20 rooms and 20 bathrooms. Did they need all that? What if we wear certain kinds of clothes?

죽을 먹으면 어떻고 밥을 먹으면 어떻고, 라면을 먹고 토스트를 먹으면 어떻습니까? 어차피 우리는 천국으로 곧 떠날 사람들인데요.

What if we eat rice or porridge? What if we eat ramen or toast? After all, we will be in heaven soon.

우리는 영원한 것을 소유한 사람들, 예수 그리스도를 소유한 사람들입니다. 그러므로 우리는 세상적인 환경에 너무 기대지 말아야 합니다. 은혜와 행복의 조건은 주님입니다.

Remember, Jesus Christ lives in us. We are people who live for eternity. Therefore, we must not put our hopes in this world. The Lord is our sole reason for happiness.

내 인생의 문제를 해결하고 내 인생을 책임져 주시는 하나님이 계시는데 우리는 은혜롭고 행복하게 살아야 되잖아요.

God is able to solve our problems. God will take care of us. Thus, we must live in grace and enjoy happiness.

건강하면 일할 수 있어서 행복하고 병들면 조용히 기도할 수 있어서 행복해 합니다.

When we are healthy, we can rejoice because we can work. When we are sick, we can still rejoice because we can pray.

하는 일이 형통하면 감사하고 어려운 고난에 처하면 그리스도의 고난에 동참시키는 하나님께 감사합니다.

When we prosper, we can give thanks to God. When we face hardships, we can still give thanks to God because we get to participate in the sufferings of Christ.
