그렇습니다. 하나님의 모든 소망이 우리에게 있다는 것입니다. 나에게 있다는 것입니다. 그러므로 우리 모두는 가치 있는 존재들입니다.
That’s right. God delights in us. He delights in me. Therefore, we are all precious beings.
그것을 깨닫고 믿고 살 때에 우리는 은혜롭고 행복한 삶을 살 수 있습니다.
We can live in grace and live a happy life when we recognize this truth and believe it.
어떤 집사님이 부인이 죽으니까 난리 나게 울더랍니다. 그러지 않아도 되는데 같이 죽겠다고 관이 내려가는데 대성통곡을 합니다.
A deacon once cried out in despair when his wife died. He wept bitterly when the coffin was lowered and said he would die with her.
평소에 자기 아내 집사에게 얼마나 속을 썪이고 못된 짓을 했다는 것을 알고 있던 집례하는 목사님이 너무 얄미워서 그래, 같이 죽으라고 슬쩍 밀어 넣었다는 것입니다.
However, the pastor who was officiating the funeral knew how poorly the husband treated his wife when she was alive. After he said he would die with her, the pastor slightly pushed him toward the hole,
그랬더니 기겁을 하면서 벌떡 뛰어 나오더랍니다. 이게 세상입니다. 우리가 이 세상 살 때 많고 적고, 부요와 가난, 건강과 병듦, 배우고 못 배우고, 잘나고 못나고 아무 상관이 없습니다.
but the man instinctively jumped away. This is how this world works. Wealthy or poor, healthy or sick, educated or uneducated – none of these things really matter in life.
세계적인 창조과학자요, 애플사의 CEO, Steve Jobs는 “배고픈 사람이 행복한 사람”이라고 했습니다. Stay Hungry 계속 배고파라, 계속 굶주려라, 그것이 행복이다.
Steve Jobs, a scientist and the ex-CEO of Apple, once said, “Those who are hungry are happy.” He continued, “Stay hungry. That is happiness.
배고픈 사람, 목마른 사람, 영혼을 느끼는 것 계속 Ask하라. 그가 행복한 사람이다. Ask가 없는 사람은 불행한 사람이다.
Those who hunger and thirst, keep asking and seeking. Such a person is happy. Those who do not ask are unhappy.”
제가 언젠가 서울에 집회 갔을 때 강사에게 잘 해준다고, 방 세 개짜리 Sweet Room을 해주었는데, 그날 밤에 한잠도 못 잤다는 것 아닙니까?
Once, I was asked to preach at a conference in Seoul. They generously reserved a three-bedroom suite for me. I could not sleep at all that night.
너무 좋아서 이 방에 가서 누워보고 저 방에 가서 누워보고 방 하나였으면 잘 잤을 텐데.
I liked it so much that I would move from one room to the other. If there was only one room, I would have slept well.
우리가 처음 이민을 와서 먹고 살기 위해서 고생할 때, 그 때가 은혜롭고 행복하지 않았습니까?
Do you remember when you first immigrated to the U.S.? Those days when we worked hard to survive. Didn’t we live in grace then?
