‘죽으면 천국간다’ 그래서 바울은 살면 좋고 죽으면 더 좋다고 했습니다.

“I will go to heaven when I die” So Paul said to live is good, but to die is even better.

죽으면 천국간다는 확신 때문입니다. 여러분은 천국가실 확신 있지요?

It is because he was conviced that he will be going to heaven after death. Are you convinced that you will go to heaven?

어떤 목사님이 설교하다가 오늘 죽어도 천국 갈 확신 있는 분들 일어나 보세요. 앉으세요.

A pastor was preaching and asked, stand up if you are certain you will go to heaven even if you die today. Sit down.

그리고 이번에는 지옥갈 사람 일어나 보세요. 하면서 강대상을 탁 쳤더니만 어떤 분이 졸다가 놀라서 벌떡 일어나더랍니다.

Now stand up if you will go to hell. When he smacked the table, a person woke up from sleep and stood up.

그리고 하는 말이 “내가 왜 일어났는지 모르지만 서 있는 사람은 목사님과 저 밖에 없네요”라고 하더랍니다.

Then he said, “I don't know why I stood up, but only the pastor and I are standing up.”

그렇습니다. 인간에게 부딪치는 가장 중요한 문제는 어떻게 살 것인가하는 문제와 어떻게 죽을 것인가하는 문제입니다.

That's correct. The most significant challenge humans face is how to live and how to face death.

그런데 그 두가지 질문에 분명한 확신을 가지면 모든 문제는 다 해결됩니다.

But when a person is certain about those two questions, the rest of the problems are solved.

인생을 살 때 분명한 확신을 가지고 살아 가시기를 주님의 이름으로 축원합니다.

I pray in the name of the Lord that you would have clear conviction when you live your life.
