오늘날 교회 열심히 다니는 사람 중에도 소위 믿음이 있다고 하는 사람 중에도 하나님의 구원을 부정하며 사는 사람들이 있습니다. 그저 넌 크리스천과 똑같이 살아가는 사람 많습니다.

Today, some devout church goers deny salvation of God. There are many people who live just like Christians.

생명이니 구원이니 능력이니 은혜니 축복이니 하면 그게 무슨 소리인가?

What does it mean to for them life, salvation, power, grace, and blessing?

소위 기독교 윤리에서 말하는 ‘실천적 무신론자’ 다시 말해서 하나님이 계신다는 것은 관념적으로는 믿지만 그러나 실제 생활에는 하나님이 없는 것처럼 사는 사람을 말하는 것입니다.

In the so-called Christian ethics, ‘practical atheist” is a person who believes in the existence of God, but lives in the real world as though there is no God.

교회에는 나오지만 예배는 드리지만 기도하고 찬송하고 헌금도 드리고, 봉사도 열심히 하지만 내 생활에는 하나님이 없는 것처럼 생활하는 사람들입니다.

They come to church, they worship, pray, sing, give, and serve, but they live as if there is no God in their life.

여러분들 중에는 그런분들 안 계시지요? 여호와 하나님이 내 속에 함께 계시고 내 생활을 다스리며 움직이며 복을 주신다는 사실을 우리는 얼마나 자주 잊어버리는지 모릅니다.

I hope you are not one of them. How often we forget that the Lord our God is with us and governs our lives and moves and blesses us.

버마 아웅 산 폭파 사건 기억하시지요?

Do you remember the Rangoon bombing in Burma?

전두환 대통령이 각료를 이끌고 그곳에 가서 많은 사람이 목숨을 잃었습니다.

President Chun Doo-hwan took the cabinet members and many lost lives.

거기 함께 간, 장 차관, 정부 고관들이 장로 집사가 많았습니다. 그들은 거의가 한국 초대교회 믿음 좋은 목사님, 장로님 후손들입니다.

Many ministers and vice ministers were deacons and elders. Most of them were descendants of good pastors and elders who were the first generation believers in Korea.

그들은 공부도 많이 했고, 인격도 훌륭한 엘리트들입니다.

They were well-educated, and they were great elites.

군사정권이 들어서니 뭘 알아야지요. 그때 해외유학파를 불러 들여 정권 요직에 앉힙니다.

The military regime took over so they were ignorant. At that time, people who has studied abroad were in the high position of government.

하나님의 은혜와 축복입니다. 그런데 말입니다. 안타깝게도 그들은 살아계신 하나님을 보여 주지 못했습니다. 그날은 주일날이었습니다.

It is grace and blessing of God. By the way. Sadly, they were unable to reflect God.

It was the Lord’s Day.

주일을 범하고 그곳에 갔습니다. 아웅 산은 제사하는 곳입니다. 귀신 섬기는 곳입니다. 그중에 누구 한 사람이라도,

They went there on Sunday. Rangoon was a placeof sacrifice. It was a place that worshiped ghosts. If any one of them said,

“각하, 나는 오늘 주일인데 교회에 가야 합니다.” 그랬으면 죽지도 않았을 것이고, 살아오면서 비행기 안에서 ‘각하, 예수 믿으세요. 하나님은 살아계십니다’주님이 증거될 것 아닙니까!

“Sir, today is Sunday and I have to go to church. “Then they wouldn’t have died.

On the way back, in the plane, “Sir, believe in Jesus. God is alive.” They could have witnessed about our Lord Jesus!

하나님이 살아계시고 나와 함께 해주시고, 복을 주셔서 높은 자리까지 갔는데, 세상적으로 인간적으로 눈치나 보고 그랬으니 하나님이 어떻게 기뻐하겠습니까!

The living God had blessed them and led them to high positions, but they sought to please men instead of God. How could God delight in such people?

그렇습니다. 오늘도 하나님이 안 계신 것처럼 살아가는 그런 그리스도인들이 많이 있습니다.

Yes. Nowadays, there are Christians who live as if God does not exist.
