이스라엘에 요시야라는 왕이 있었는데 종교가 부패되고, 나라가 혼란에 빠지게 되자 성전을 수리하도록 명을 내렸습니다.

There was a king named Josiah in Israel, who commanded that the temple of the Lord may be repaired, when there were religious corruptions and political and economic chaos in the whole nation.

그런데 성전을 수리하다가 잃어버렸던 신명기 성경을 발견했습니다. 그래서 요시야 왕은 그 성경을 제사장들과 모든 백성에게 읽고 듣게 했습니다.

And the book of Deuteronomy was found in the process of repairing. So, the King Josiah had all the priests and the people listen to the Word of God.

그러는 가운데 백성들의 생각과 정신과 신앙이 달랐습니다.

When the people listened to the Word of God, their thoughts, spirits, and faiths started changing.

이스라엘이 새로워졌습니다. 사람들이 변화됐습니다.신앙의 개혁운동이 일어났습니다. 믿음의 모습들이 달라지기 시작했습니다.

The whole Israel was changed. People were transformed. There came about a

reformation of their faith. Their faiths started changing.

왜요? Why?

말씀의 바탕 위에 신앙을 세웠기 때문에 무너지지 않는 든든한 신앙의 소유자가 됩니다.

Because their faiths were solidly founded upon the Word of God, they possessed an unshakable and strong faith.

그렇습니다. 우리가 하나님의 말씀을 듣고 말씀 위에 굳게 서 있을 때에 흔들리지 아니하고 무너지지 아니하고 담대하게 살아갈 수 있습니다.

That’s right! When we listen to the Word of God, and stand firm on the Word of God, we shall not be shaken and destroyed, but remain strong and courageous.

그러므로 하나님의 말씀이 든든하면 절대로 흔들리지 않습니다.

Therefore, when we are solidly founded upon the Word of God, we shall never be shaken.

말씀 위에 신앙을 세우면 절대로 시험에 들지 않습니다.

When we build our faith upon the Word of God, we shall not fall into temptations.

백부장은 예수님께서 자기의 종의 병을 고쳐 주실 것을 믿었습니다.

A Roman centurion believed that Lord Jesus would be able to heal his servant.

그러나 자기 같은 이방인이 감히 어떻게 예수님께 갈 수 있느냐 그래서 유대 장로들을 대신 보내어 간청하게 했습니다.

But he, as a Gentile, felt unworthy to come to Jesus, and, therefore, asked Jewish elders to go and ask him on his behalf.

“주여, 내 집에 들어오심을 나는 감당치 못하겠사오니 다만 말씀으로만 하옵소서. 그러면 내 하인이 낫겠삽나이다.”

“Lord, I am not worthy to have you come under my roof, but only say the word, and my servant will be healed.”

예수님의 말씀의 권위를 100% 인정하고 믿었습니다.

He absolutely recognized and believed in the authority of the Words of Jesus Christ.

시공간을 초월해서 말씀의 능력을 철저히 믿는 신앙이었습니다.

His faith was one that thoroughly believed in the Word of God, overcoming time and space.

그렇습니다. 하나님의 말씀을 믿고 살아야 흔들리지 않습니다.

That’s right! Only when you listen to the Word of God, you shall not be shaken at all.

말씀 따라 살아야 무너지지 않습니다.

When you live your life according to the Word of God, you will not be destroyed.

말씀대로 순종해야 믿음의 역사가 일어나는 줄로 믿습니다.

When you listen to the Word of God and obey His Word, there shall be working of wonders.
