2. 선한 말을 해야 합니다. You have to speak words kind words.

“구부러진 말을 네 입에서 버리며 비뚤어진 말을 네 입술에서 멀리 하라.”

“Put away from you crooked speech, and put devious talk far from you.”

일찍이 솔로몬은 “죽고 사는 것이 혀의 권세에 달렸나니 혀를 쓰기 좋아하는 자는 그 열매를

먹으리라.”

Solomon said, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits.”

다시 말해서 혀의 말 때문에 복을 받기도 하고 화를 받기도 합니다. 죽기도 하고 살기도 합니다.

In other words, you will receive either blessings or curses, according to the words of your tongue. Either you die or live according to your words.

그러므로 바울은 구원 받은 성도가 인격이 변해야 되는데 말과 마음과 손발을 통제하라고 했습니다.

Therefore, Paul the apostle teaches that the saints who have been saved should have their characters transformed and sanctified, controlling their words, hearts, and their bodies as well.

누에가 입에서 나오는 실을 가지고 집을 짓고 그 속에 들어가 사는 것처럼 사람은 그 입으로 말하는 것에 따라 환경이 조성된다고 했습니다.

Like silkworms spew out tiny threads from their jaws and form cocoons to live within,

people create their own circumstances through their own words.

그렇습니다. 선한 말을하면 무너지지 않는 신앙, 든든한 신앙의 소유자가 됩니다. 그래서 선한 말을 하면 기쁨이 됩니다. 평화로워집니다.

That’s right! When you speak kind words, you will have strong faith. Kind words brings us joy and peace.

그러나 나쁜 말은 파괴와 싸움의 원인이 됩니다.

However, crooked speech becomes a source of destruction and quarrels.

선한 말은 상처를 치유하고 위로와 사랑을 낳지만 나쁜 말은 미움과 불화 그리고 증오를 낳습니다.

While kind words bring healing, it leads to, encouragement and love, while a crooked and devious speech give birth to hatred, disharmony, and abhorrence.

그러므로 우리는 선한 말을 해야 합니다. 선한 말로 이웃을 향하여 격려하고 축복해야 합니다.

Therefore, we have to speak kind words.

Through kind words, we are to encourage and bless our neighbors.

왜요? 예수 믿는 우리들의 말이 보통 말이 아닙니다.

Why? The words of the believers of the Lord Jesus Christ are not just mere words.

믿음의 말은 권세가 있습니다. 우리의 말 한마디가 사람의 운명을 바꾸어 놓을 수 있습니다. 말에는 생명이 있습니다.

The words of faith have authoritative power. One word from us can possibly change the destiny of anothera person. There is life in words.

말에는 능력이 있습니다. 말에는 권세가 있습니다. 그러므로 사도 요한은 “태초에 말씀이 계셨으니 이 말씀은 곧 하나님이시라.”

There is power in words. There is authority in words. Therefore, John the apostle said, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”

로고스 = 데오스, 하나님. The Logos was Theos, God Himself.
