예수님께서도 언제나 중요한 일을 먼저 했습니다. 예수님에게 있어서 참으로 중요한 일은 하나님이 주신 사명이 있었습니다.

Jesus always did what’s important. He had a very important calling from God.

그것이 뭡니까? 십자가 지시는 일이었습니다. What was it? To die on the cross.

인류를 구속하시는 일, 십자가 지시는 일이 중요한 일이었기에 그 일을 다하셨기에 세상을 떠날 때 “다 이루었다”고 했습니다.

Because his calling was to die on the cross to save us and this was an important task for Him, that’s why He said, “It is finished” before he died.

예수님 이땅에 계실 때에 부지런했습니다. 식사할 겨를도 없이 일하셨습니다.

When Jesus was still on earth, he was very hardworking. He sometimes skipped meals to work.

예수님께서 이땅에 계실 때 많은 병자를 고치셨습니다. 중풍병자도 고치셨습니다. 앉은뱅이도 일으켰습니다. 소경의 눈을 뜨게 했습니다. 수많은 배고픈 사람들도 배부르게 했습니다.

He healed many people. He healed leprosy, he made people walk again and see again. He fed many people.

얼마나 고단하셨던지 풍랑이 일어나는 갈릴리 바다에서 고물을 베고 주무실 정도였습니다.

He even fell asleep as he was tired while in the ocean with huge waves in the Sea of Galilee.

그러나 예수님은 그런 바쁜 생활가운데서도 언제나 중요한 일을 놓치지 않았습니다.

But in the midst of all these busy tasks, he didn‘t forget what was important.

“새벽 미명에 한적한 곳으로 가서 기도했다”고 했습니다.

He prayed early in the morning at the least crowded place.

그렇습니다. 아무리 바쁜 일이 많다고 하더라도 예수님은 영적인 일 하나님과 교제하는 일을 잊지 않았습니다.

Yes. Even when Jesus was busy, it was important for Him to communicate and have a relationship with God.

하루 일과를 다 마무리하고 나서도 예수님은 산으로 올라가서 밤이 맞도록 기도했습니다.

At the end of the day, he went up the mountain to pray to God.

바쁜 일속에서도 예수님은 중요한 일을 놓치지 않으시고 언제나 중요한 일을 앞세웠던 것입니다.

Despite his busy life, he didn‘t forget what was important and prioritized this task.

그렇습니다. 우리가 사는 이 세상이 얼마나 바쁘고 분주합니까? 해야 될 바쁜 일은 얼마나 많습니까?

Yes. The world that we live in is a very busy world. There‘s so much to do.

그러나 우리가 기억해야 할 것은 중요한 일입니다. 영적인 일, 주님을 위한 일, 교회를 위한 일은 중요한 일입니다.

There’s so much to remember. Spiritual tasks, tasks for God, tasks for the church are important.
