네가 나를 사랑하느냐? Do You Love Me? 요한복음(John)21장 15-18절
1991년도에 김수현 작 TV 연속극 ‘사랑이 뭐길래’라는 드라마가 있었는데 인기가 대단했습니다.
In 1991, there was a popular TV series in Korea called “What is Love.”
우리가 사는 이 세상이 너무나 삭막하기 때문에 이래서는 안 되겠다는 자각과 함께 사랑에 대한 동경이 ‘사랑이 뭐길래’라는 드라마가 시청자들에게 큰 인기가 있었던 것 같습니다.
Perhaps this TV series got popular because Korea was going through a hostile period of time then. People were attracted to this show especially because they were in need of love.
사랑이 있는 곳에 기쁨이 있고 즐거움과 따스함이 있습니다. 성경에도 “믿음, 소망, 사랑 이 세 가지는 항상 있을 것인데 그중에 제일은 사랑”이라고 했습니다.
Where there is love, there is joy. Love warms our hearts. The Bible also says, “And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love.”
여기 ‘제일’이라는 단어는 헬라어로 ‘가장 위대한 것’, ‘가장 높은 것’, ‘가장 큰 것’이라는 뜻을 가지고 있습니다.
In Greek, the word “Greatest” means “Great in the largest, highest, or widest sense.”
그러므로 이 세상에서 가장 고귀하고, 위대하고 높고 크고 아름다운 것은 사랑입니다.
Therefore, there is nothing more precious or beautiful than love in this world. Love is the highest and greatest thing in this world.
그래서 하나님을 사랑이시라고 합니다. 하나님이 사랑이신 것처럼 성경은 우리가 사랑의 사람이 될 때, 모든 것이 분명해지고, 모든 것이 온전해지고 영원하다고 가르치고 있습니다.
The Bible says God is love. The Bible teaches that we will be made complete and perfect when we are marked by love because God is love.
그러므로 우리가 사랑으로 살 때 주님과 나 사이가 분명해지고 더욱 가까워집니다. 우리가 사랑으로 살 때 너와 나와의 관계가 더 분명해집니다. 우리는 예수님을 닮아 하나님의 온전하심 같이 온전해집니다.
Consequently, abiding in love helps us grow closer to our Lord Jesus. Abiding in love will help us grow closer to one another. We are called to be more like Jesus and be perfect as God is perfect.
