3. Live graciously and happily
고린도후서 6장 1-10절
“우리가 하나님과 함께 일하는 자로서 너희를 권하노니 하나님의 은혜를 헛되이 받지 말라 이르시되 내가 은혜 베풀 때에 너에게 듣고 구원의 날에 너를 도왔다 하셨으니 보라 지금은 은혜 받을 만한 때요 보라 지금은 구원의 날이로다 우리가 이 직분이 비방을 받지 않게 하려고 무엇에든지 아무에게도 거리끼지 않게 하고 오직 모든 일에 하나님의 일꾼으로 자천하여 많이 견디는 것과 환난과 궁핍과 고난과 매 맞음과 갇힘과 난동과 수고로움과 자지 못함과 먹지 못함 가운데서도 깨끗함과 지식과 오래 참음과 자비함과 성령의 감화와 거짓이 없는 사랑과 진리의 말씀과 하나님의 능력으로 의의 무기를 좌우에 가지고 영광과 욕됨으로 그러했으며 악한 이름과 아름다운 이름으로 그러했느니라 우리는 속이는 자 같으나 참되고 무명한 자 같으나 유명한 자요 죽은 자 같으나 보라 우리가 살아 있고 징계를 받는 자 같으나 죽임을 당하지 아니하고 근심하는 자 같으나 항상 기뻐하고 가난한 자 같으나 많은 사람을 부요하게 하고 아무 것도 없는 자 같으나 모든 것을 가진 자로다”
Corinthians 6:1-10
As God’s fellow workers we urge you not to receive God’s grace in vain. For he says, “In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you.” I tell you, now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation. We put no stumbling block in anyone’s path, so that our ministry will not be discredited. Rather, as servants of God we commend ourselves in every way: in great endurance; in troubles, hardships and distresses; in beatings, imprisonments and riots; in hard work, sleepless nights and hunger; in purity, understanding, patience and kindness; in the Holy Spirit and in sincere love; in truthful speech and in the power of God; with weapons of righteousness in the right hand and in the left; through glory and dishonor, bad report and good report; genuine, yet regarded as impostors; known, yet regarded as unknown; dying, and yet we live on; beaten, and yet not killed; sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; poor, yet making many rich; having nothing, and yet possessing everything.
우리나라 역사에 보면 강화도령은 전주 이씨였습니다. 원래는 이성계의 피를 타고 태어났지만 그의 조상이 강화도에 유배감에 따라, 그 자신은 비록 왕손이었지만 아주 형편없는 서민의 자손처럼 자라났습니다.
In Korean History, we learn that Ganghwadoryeong was from the Jeonju Yi clan. He was originally a descendant of Seong-gye Lee. Though he was of royal descent, he was raised as a commoner because his ancestors were exiled to Ganghwa Island.
그러는 중에 한양에서는 이씨 왕가의 대가 끊어져서 조정에서는 서둘러 이성계의 후손 가운데 한 사람을 찾아서 왕으로 세우게 되었습니다.
Meanwhile, in Hanyang, the royal line of the Yi clan was cut off. So, they hurried and found one of the descendants of Seong-gye Yi to make him king.
