전혀 있을 수 없는 불가능한 것을 예수님께서는 할 수 있다고 믿고 순종하는 것이 믿음의 능력입니다. “할 수 있거든이 무슨 말이냐? 믿는 자에게는 능치 못한 일이 없느니라.”
Faith is to believe that Jesus can do the impossible. Faith leads us to obey with full assurance. “‘If you can’! All things are possible for one who believes.”
일찍이 삼손이 하나님의 말씀에 순종해서 나실인으로 이스라엘의 사사가 되었을 때는 하나님의 능력을 받았습니다. 블레셋이 두려워하는 하나님의 사람이 되었습니다.
Samson was empowered by God when he obeyed the Word of God and became a Nazarite and a judge. The Philistines began to fear him because he was a man of God.
그러나 하나님의 말씀에 불순종해서 머리에 삭도를 댐으로 하나님이 주신 능력은 그를 떠났습니다.
But the power of God left him immediately when Samson disobeyed God and used a razor on his head.
그리고 그는 블레셋 사람들에게 붙잡혀 두 눈이 뽑히고 짐승처럼 연자맷돌을 돌리는 조롱의 대상이 되었습니다.
Then, the Philistines bound him and gouged his eyes. Then, they made Samson ground at the mill like an animal and mocked him.
사무엘의 어머니 한나도 “만군의 여호와여 만일 주의 여종의 고통을 돌아보시고 아들을 주시면 내가 그의 평생에 그를 여호와께 드리고 삭도를 그 머리에 대지 아니하겠나이다.” 기도했습니다.
Hannah, the mother of Samuel, prayed, “O LORD of hosts, if you will indeed look on the affliction of your servant and remember me, but will give to your servant a son, then I will give him to the LORD all the days of his life, and no razor shall touch his head.”
그리고 젖을 떼자마자 즉시 하나님께 바쳤고 사무엘은 하나님의 권위 밑에서 순종하며 살 때, 그는 위대한 제사장이 되고 이스라엘 건국의 창건자가 되었습니다.
As soon as the child was weaned, she offered Samuel to God. Samuel submitted to the authority of God and became a great priest who established Israel’s monarchy.
그렇습니다. 하나님의 말씀에도 삭도를 대면 안 됩니다. 하나님의 말씀은 정확 무오한 권위입니다. 그러므로 우리는 하나님의 말씀에 절대 순종해야 합니다.
That’s right. No razor shall touch the Word of God either. The Word of God is our infallible authority. Therefore, we must absolutely obey the Word of God.
