복음을 전파하라(Preach the Good News) 막 Mk. 16:14-18

그 후에 열한 제자가 음식 먹을 때에 예수께서 그들에게 나타나사 그들의 믿음 없는 것과 마음이

완악한 것을 꾸짖으시니 이는 자기가 살아난 것을 본 자들의 말을 믿지 아니함일러라 또 이르시되 너희는 온 천하에 다니며 만민에게 복음을 전파하라 믿고 세례를 받는 사람은 구원을 얻을 것이요 믿지 않는 사람은 정죄를 받으리라 믿는 자들에게는 이런 표적이 따르리니 곧 그들이 내 이름으로 귀신을 쫓아내며 새 방언을 말하며 뱀을 집어올리며 무슨 독을 마실지라도 해를 받지 아니하며 병든 사람에게 손을 얹은즉 나으리라 하시더라

Mark 16:14-18

Later Jesus appeared to the Eleven as they were eating; he rebuked them for their lack of faith and their stubborn refusal to believe those who had seen him after he had risen. He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.”

현대인의 핵심 Code가 재미라는 것입니다. 무엇이든지 재미가 있어야 한다는 것입니다.

Having fun is the most important thing in this day and age. People want to have fun in whatever they do.

그래서 학자들은 현대를 가리켜서 ‘감성의 시대’ ‘감각의 시대’라고 합니다.

For this reason, scholars call the modern age the age of feeling.

과거에 심각했던 이성의 시대가 아니라 지금은 어떤 요소라도 재미라는 것이 들어가야 합니다.

The age of reason has passed away. The solemnity of the past era is gone. The age of feeling is all about having fun.

연애도, 결혼생활도 재미가 있어야 합니다. 직장생활, 사업 심지어 교회생활도 재미가 있어야 합니다.

Dating and marriage need to be fun. Work and even church need to be fun.

그것을 비판하고 쉽지는 않습니다. 왜냐하면 무슨 일이든 재미로 하면 쉽게 할 수 있기 때문입니다.

I do not want to criticize this notion because having fun makes things easy. If we have fun doing something, we can excel at it.

내가 하는 일과 재미가 같이 만나면 최상의 결과를 얻을 수 있습니다.

We get the best results when we have fun doing what we need to do.

재미는 자발성을 끌어낼 수 있습니다. 우리가 하는 일을 편하게 쉽게 해 낼 수 있는 힘이 있습니다.

Fun makes us do things voluntarily. It makes work easy and enjoyable.

그것이 성공입니다. 무슨 일이든지 재미로 기쁨으로 즐거움으로 하면 놀라운 능력이 나타납니다.

That’s success. If we have fun in whatever we do and do it out of joy, we experience wonderful things.

그런데 많은 사람들은 재미를 모릅니다. 그래서 발걸음이 무겁습니다.

But many people do not know what it means to have fun. Consequently, they are overwhelmed.

목적의식이 없고 삶의 의미를 상실한 사람들이 많습니다. 사람들이 승리에 굶주려 있습니다.

They even lose motivation. They do not have a sense of purpose.

성공을 생각하지 않습니다. 아예 포기하는 경우가 많이 있습니다. 그래서 인생이 재미가 없다고 합니다.

Many want to be successful, but they cannot envision it. As a result, they give up. They come to believe that life is boring.

예수 안 믿는 세상 사람들은 그렇다고 하더라도 예수 믿는 우리들 마저 그렇게 살아서는 않되지 않습니까?

This makes sense for people who do not believe in Jesus. But this cannot be true for those who believe in Jesus.

우리에게는 생애 목적이 분명하게 있지 않습니까? 우리는 삶의 기쁨과 가치를 어디에 두어야 하는지 분명하게 알고 있습니다.

Shouldn’t we have a clear purpose in life? Christians must have clear values. We must clearly understand where our joy comes from.

그게 뭡니까?  하나님의 영광을 위해서 사는 것입니다.

What is our purpose? It is to live for the glory of God.

우리의 생애 목적이, 교회의 존재 목적이, 하나님의 나라를 위해서 있습니다.

We exist for the kingdom of God. The church exists for the kingdom of God.

그 하나님의 나라를 위해서 우리는 예수 그리스도의 복음을 전파 하도록 부르심을 받았습니다.

We are called to preach the good news of Jesus Christ. This is how we live for the kingdom of God.

그러므로 우리들에게 삶의 기쁨과 보람, 영광과 가치는 복음을 전파 하는데 있습니다.

Therefore, our joy comes from preaching the gospel. This is how we glorify God.
